I tried finding songs that would have more of a similar mood and energy as "Café Dominguez" although they weren't instrumentals or from the same time period. I found about 4-5 songs that I considered intense and dramatic enough and chose the following songs: I put "Ahora no me conocés" as the second song because of it's strong beginning which will keep up the energy set by "Café Dominguez" although going from 1955 to 1941 is quite a leap into a different era of tango and lesser recording quality. Then I have "Sólo compasión" continuing the classic melodies and drama and "Caricias" finishing the tanda. I was juggling these songs back and forth to find the right order and I think for me this is the best one. "Caricias" follows the opening track nicely also but I felt it had a stronger ending than "Ahora no me conocés" so for that reason also I wanted to have it as the last song.
